WWE News: Update On Jacob Fatu’s Travel Issues, Raw Stars Possibly On Smackdown, more

— The WWE team is in Berlin this week, preparing for Saturday’s Bash in Berlin premium live event and as a result of the overseas location and various logistical reasons, many things had to be shifted around according to fightfulselect.com.

— First off, Friday’s episode of Smackdown will be taped earlier in the day and aired in its usual time slot in North America, much like WWE did recently with the Smackdown before Clash at the Castle. As a result of the early Friday taping, WWE sent over multiple members of their staff and crew earlier today while some talent also are already there as part of live events that were scheduled this week.

— The Smackdown brand team members were all there early and were expected to spend about a week in Europe through Saturday’s show, while some Raw superstars such as Dragunov, Ludwig Kaiser, Sheamus and GUNTHER also were sent early due to being considered “valuable assets” on the tour and they all ended up missing this week’s Raw as a result.

— Also making the trip over were Bayley, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura to work the live events and despite rumors questioning their health, all three are said to be injury free. Jacob Fatu also was able to make the trip to Europe, which the report indicates was a “great sign” for his WWE future as he has had issues getting cleared for entry into various countries overseas due to his past.

— It is possible that any of the Raw or Smackdown stars mentioned above could be booked to appear on Smackdown taking place on Friday.

— Finally, WWE’s trend of having PLEs that are shorter in duration is expected to continue. WWE has reportedly been happy with the way the smaller cards are turning out and their reasoning behind it is that it lets them stack Raw and/or Smackdown with top calibre matches that in the past would have taken place on a PLE/PPV.
