Video Package Recap – (Last Few Weeks On RAW)
To start tonight’s red brand show, which is the “Fall-Out” Edition following this past Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view event… we immediately head backstage where current reigning WWE Champion Bobby Lashley looks eerily similar to The God-Father, surrounded by a group of women mirroring “The Hoe Train” as a smiling ear to ear Lashley struts through the halls of the backstage area.
Announcer’s Table
As we enter the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, we head to the announcer’s table set up at ringside as Adnan Virk welcomes us to the Monday, May 10, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW – WrestleMania Backlash “Fall-Out” Edition. They hype tonight’s show before we head to the ring to kick off the first official match-up of the evening.
In-Ring – MVP
The Hurt Business spokesman, MVP, stands in the center of the ring with a microphone in hand, still holding his cane in the opposite hand as we kick-off the in-ring segment to open the Monday, May 17, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW “Fall-Out” edition which follows last night’s WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view event. MVP states, “WWE Universe, it is my HONOR to present to you, your W-W-E Champion… Bobby Lashley!!
WWE Champion Bobby Lashley Joins MVP
“The dominance of the Almighty Era continues! commentary notes as they reiterate that Lashley dominated last night over The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, as well as The Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre at the WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view event to retain his WWE Championship Title. As Lashley makes his way down the ramp, he stops at ringside to assist the ladies he is “celebrating” his victory with, one-by-one up the steel stairs and into the ring with MVP as commentary takes us to a video package highlighting Lashley’s match at the pay-per-view last night.
Video Package – WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 – WWE Championship Match
We head into a video package highlighting the Triple Threat Match with Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman where Lashley clearly dominated the match and retained his title as the WWE Champion after pinning Braun Strowman.
In-Ring – MVP & WWE Champion Bobby Lashley
Lashley hops off the turnbuckle where he was showing off his WWE Championship belt, giving MVP daps before MVP begins to speak. “Did I come through for you or what?” MVP asks Lashley as we return to the ring. Lashley agrees before MVP asks, “May I?” Lashley nods and MVP then goes into an overly bragging introduction of Lashley stating he beat two of the greatest on the roster. MVP then adds “The Monster Among Men is nursing broken ribs” then adds, “And the Scottish Warrior was so devastated, that he couldn’t get out of bed this morning!” MVP then brags that Lashley was put through an LED Screen, yet still made it back to TAKE his WWE Championship.
MVP then adds that he did all of that damage, while injured. MVP asks Lashley to show his knuckles, to which Lashley holds out his pinky. MVP mocks that Lashley did it through all that pain and still came out on top. MVP then hypes the Almighty Era as he adds that tonight is a night of celebration. MVP points out that Lashley was supposed to have the night off, but instead (he checks with Lashley to see if he’s sure. Lashley nods) MVP then states that Lashley is offering an OPEN CHALLENGE tonight.
Drew McIntyre Interrupts
The entrance theme of The Scottish Warrior sounds over the speakers of the ThunderDome as the expression on Bobby Lashley’s face fades from a smile to a stern tight lip as McIntyre makes his way to the stage. Surprise, Surprise! Drew McIntyre DID make it out of bed this morning, and is here in the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL! McIntyre makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, standing across from Lashley and MVP, grabbing the microphone from MVP so he can speak.
“I think that is a FANTASTIC IDEA!” McIntyre begins. McIntyre urges that he cannot think of a better way to impress his lovely…. “ladies” as he clears his throat and continues on! “Lashley vs. McIntyre for the WWE Championship… tonight! Is that clear enough? I accept!” McIntyre states. MVP grabs the microphone back at this point and calls McIntyre rude and crass, stating that McIntyre interrupted before he could finish. MVP then states that it’s an open challenge, for anyone in the locker room… except for Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre. The crowd “boo’s”.
At this point, MVP states very snidely, “Back of the line, Drew!” Lashley looks to sucker punch McIntyre, but McIntyre ducks and strikes Lashley. MVP and the
ho…eh-hem, “women” quickly escape the ring, followed by Lashley. They all stop short on the ramp. McIntyre shouts, “Fight me again! One on one!” as MVP holds Lashley back on the ramp.Quick Announcement
Still to come, Elias vs. AJ Styles. Also, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will get their rematch for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. With that, we head to the first commercial break of the evening!
AJ Styles vs. Elias
As we return from commercial break, the next segment of the Monday, May 17, 2021 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW is destined to be PHENOMENAL as AJ Styles makes his way to the stage as pyro goes off around him. Omos then makes his way out to join his tag-team partner and friend, Styles, as the two make their way down the ramp, Styles entering the ring to another explosion of pyro as Omos stands on the apron outside of the ropes behind him.
Out next is Elias (w/ Jaxson Ryker) as the entrance theme sounds for Elias. Elias makes his way to the stage with a guitar draped over his shoulder as he and Ryker make their way down the ramp, stopping at the bottom of the ramp and the two trash talk Styles and Omos before continuing to ringside. Elias enters the ring, removing his shirt as the referee signals for the bell.
Elias with a Strike early on to Styles. Styles with a Dropkick to take down Elias follows. Elias with a Stalling Suplex to continue the match. Styles holds his lower back as he uses the rope to assist him back to his feet. Styles then delivers multiple blows to Elias, powering him into the corner of the ring. Styles slams Elias face first into the turnbuckle as he then looks to hit a Back Breaker which connects successfully. Elias is able to turn things around momentarily as he lands multiple blows, followed by a few good Knees to Styles until the referee breaks them up. Styles is thrown into the ring post by Elias who quickly follows up with a Baseball Slide Kick to Styles, slamming his back into the ring post before flinging him to the floor at ringside.
Elias exits the ring to throw Styles back into the ring. The match again ends up at ringside as Elias slams Styles face first into the apron. Styles is pushed back into the ring, Styles hits a Clothesline before Elias could re-enter the ring. The referee begins the count as Styles goes up and over, landing on Elias. Ryker is standing right beside the two as Styles makes his way back to his feet. Before Ryker has the opportunity to attempt to intimidate Styles, Omos steps up behind Styles, causing Ryker to put his hands up and step back as we head to commercial break!
As we return from the commercial break, Styles delivers another Forearm as Elias tries to regain his senses. The match speeds up, which we see benefits Styles as he gets the cover on Elias, Elias kicks out to continue the match. Ryker looks worried at ringside at this point. The base of Elias’s neck driven down across Styles’s knee as Styles looks for the Styles Clash as he gets his second wind about him! Elias gets a Knee to the jaw of Styles for the cover. Styles is able to pop up the left shoulder to continue the match!
Styles is rocked at this point. An Upkick by Elias knocks Styles back. Elias looks for the Electric Chair, but Styles is able to fight his way out with several Elbows followed by a back elbow which sends him into the corner. Elias lifts Styles onto his shoulders, Styles hits several Elbows to the top of Elias’s head, forcing Elias to drop him down to his feet. Drop Toe Hold takes Elias down. As Styles looks to finish Elias off, Ryker yanks Styles off the apron for a disqualification!
Winner By Disqualification: AJ Styles (w/ Omos)
After the Match
Omos immediately begins to follow Jaxson Ryker up the ramp as Ryker holds his hands out, but continues to keep the attention of Omos. Suddenly Omos turns as he realizes that Elias has thrown Styles over the steel stairs at ringside and continues to attack Styles until Omos makes his way back own to his partner and friend at ringside. Elias steps away and runs to safety as Omos assists Styles back to a standing position at ringside.
Backstage – Alexa’s Playground
Next we head backstage where we see Alexa Bliss and Lilly both swinging on the Firefly Funhouse Playground swings. Bliss states very matter-of-factly that they’re lucky to have Natalya and Tamina on the show tonight! Bliss then adds that Lilly is just dying to see them as Bliss giggles to send us into the commercial break!
WWE NXT Promo
As we return from the commercial break, we are immediately sent into a video promo highlighting the Tuesday, May 18, 2021 edition of WWE NXT with the current reigning NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano, as he cuts a promo to hype his Steel Cage Match against Bronson Reed!
Video Clip – “Last Week’s RAW” – (Eight-Man Match)
Next we head into a video clip that highlights Last Week’s WWE Monday Night RAW where an Eight-Man Match took place where Randy Orton successfully dropped Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day with RKO’s.
Backstage – The New Day & Matt Riddle
As the video clip from last week’s RAW comes to an end, we are now backstage where The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are standing with The Original Bro, Matt Riddle. Riddle sighs a sigh of relief as he exclaims, “Oh good, you got my letters!” He then adds something about how “pigeon mail never fails…” to a confused Woods and Kingston. Riddle says he made the little vest for the pigeon himself….
Switching topics, Kingston asks to “see the snake” as Woods asks, “Yea, where is it?” Riddle then states it’s around here somewhere, and no, it wasn’t a hallucination, it’s real, when suddenly…
Randy Orton Walks In
Apparently the “snake” Riddle wanted The New Day to see, was a VIPER! As Kingston and Woods look around on the ground for this “snake”… Orton ends up walking in, “Alright, I’m here, where’s Pearce?” Orton begins, “And what the hell are these two doing here?” he adds as he sees The New Day members. Woods states, “Well, RANDALL your friend here said he found a two headed snake.| Orton then states that apparently, that was a “shot” at him, as he adds that he was told to be there so Adam Pearce could speak to him.
Clearly, Pearce was not waiting on Orton… and this was just a a plan developed by the one and only Original Bro. Riddle says they had such a good time last week and even though it ended on bad terms, they could make this a 4-way group and Orton could apologize for what he did. Orton says that’s not going to happen because he’s not sorry. Kofi warns Riddle he will end up on the receiving end of a RKO if he’s not careful. Kofi and Orton have words and Kofi challenges him to a match. It’s on for later. Kofi and Woods walk off. Riddle goes to speak but Orton hushes him, and then walks away.
Backstage – Alexa’s Playground
Next we head to the Firefly Funhouse Playground where Alexa Bliss is with Lilly and the two are equally excited because they have two new friends coming to play with them on the playground. Bliss then welcomes the WWE Friday Night SmackDown’s NEW WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions Natalya and Tamina Snuka. We see them both at the playground, Natalya sitting on the swing next to Bliss as Tamina looks around with a worried/disgusted look on her face, unsure of her surroundings. Natalya begins as she discusses with Bliss just how proud she and Tamina are of their win, adding how tough it was beating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. A still unsure Tamina is ready to leave.
Next, an innocent looking Bliss simply states that Lilly wants to know what Natalya and Tamina’s favorite colors were. Natalya answers, stating, “probably pink” while a clever response from Tamina is given, “black and blue…” to which Tamina quickly follows up by adding, “which will look great on your (Bliss’s) face if you (she) tries anything weird!” With a slight pout, Bliss responds to Tamina that that was not very nice… but perks up slightly as she states that Tamina is lucky Lilly really likes them. Lilly really liked how Tamina beat Reginald up a few weeks ago. Tamina mentions how she has no problem swatting Reginald again if he tries anything during tonight’s rematch.
At this point, Bliss rambles on aimlessly about how her friend Lilly is collecting the wings of dead bugs as well as “other body parts”. Natalya and Tamina are weirded out. They walk out while Bliss is rambling about Lilly. Bliss wishes them good luck and says she and Lilly will be watching. The Firefly Fun House music starts up as we go to commercial.
Angel Garza vs. Drew Gulak
As we return from the commercial break, out first comes Angel Garza for the next match up of the evening as his entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the Yuengling Center Arena in Tampa, Florida. Garza makes his way to the stage carrying a perfect rose in his hand, with a smile on his face. Garza then makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring where he awaits his opponent for tonight’s one-on-one match up. Out next is Garza’s opponent, Drew Gulak as Gulak’s entrance theme sounds in the arena. Gulak quickly makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring with Garza as the referee moves to the center of the ring.
With both opponents inside the ring, the referee signals for the bell. The bell rings, and our next match-up is officially underway! To start off the action in the match-up, Drew Gulak starts off with a Dropkick to Garza in the corner of the ring, taking Garza down to the canvas. Quickly following up, Gulak immediately goes to work on Garza as he gets a Modified Abdominal Stretch connected on Garza in the center of the ring! Angel Garza struggles momentarily as he fights his way out of the hold and then quickly counters Gulak’s move by slamming him down to the canvas! To follow up, Garza hits Gulak with a Running Clothesline out of the corner. Garza then finishes up with a Slap to the face of Gulak leading into yet another Clothesline to take Gulak to the canvas!
Gulak struggles back to his feet to continue the match as Garza goes for a Slingshot Inverted Suplex, before following up with a successful Dropkick to put Gulak back down on the canvas. At this point, Garza talks some trash but is mindful to stay on Gulak. Gulak fights back but Garza rocks him with a right. Garza goes for the big backbreaker in the middle of the ring, holding Gulak in the air and dropping him. Garza follows up with a running knee to the face in the corner. To end the match, Angel Garza quickly comes right back with his Wing Clipper finisher in the center of the ring to take down Gulak for the three count pin and win victory!
Winner: Angel Garza
After the Match
Immediately following the match, Angel Garza’s music hits as Garza celebrates his victory and we head into the replays from the match up!
As we return to the ring from the replays, we see Angel Garza as he walks over to the corner and grabs his rose. He kneels down over Drew Gulak, where he proceeds to taunt him with it, before he snaps it in half and shoves it down his throat. At this point, Garza exits the ring, showboating, all while smiling at Gulak’s mouth full of rose petals… (yuck!)
Backstage – WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth
As we head backstage, we see a poorly hidden WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth as Kevin Patrick looks to get an interview with the record breaking 24/7 title reign count. We realize that Truth didn’t recognize Patrick, as Truth thought he was hiding from a WWE Superstar looking to take his title. Truth explains to Patrick that he has to keep a low profile because he heard there was an Open Challenge for his title. Patrick informs him the Open Challenge is for the WWE Title.
Akira Tozawa Sneaks Up For a 24/7 Championship Match
Truth stammers and rambles on until suddenly we see Akira Tozawa pop up out of nowhere!
Akira Tozawa vs. R-Truth
As the referee appears along with Tozawa, we see Tozawa sneak up and grab R-Truth! Tozawa then quickly rolls Truth up with a school boy cover for the three count pin and win, earning Tozawa the 24/7 Championship Title!
Winner and NEW 24/7 Champion: Akira Tozawa
After the Match
Immediately after pinning Truth, Akira Tozawa shouts “the tables have now turned!” as he proceeds to quickly scurry off with the 24/7 Title. R-Truth yells out… and then says he’s tired.
In-Ring – Randy Orton (w/ Matt Riddle) Entrance
At this point we return to the ring inside the ThunderDome III at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida as The Viper, Randy Orton makes his way out to the stage as his entrance theme sounds over the speakers in the arena. As Orton makes his way to the top of the stage, we see The Original Bro, Matt Riddle scooting right along behind Orton on a scooter. It is clear that Orton is a bit annoyed but he heads to the ring with Riddle trailing close behind him. As he enters the ring, we see more pyro before Orton makes his way to each corner of the ring, posing in each of the the corners as pyro continues. As Orton is finishing up his entrance, we head to commercial break.
Vignette – Eva Marie
As we return from the commercial break, we get a replay of the Eva Marie “Eva-Lution” vignette that aired last week.
Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
With Orton’s entrance completely before the break, we now return to the ring as Eva Marie’s vignette comes to an end. Back inside the ring, we see Orton as he anxiously paces back and forth inside the ring. Ready to get this match-up underway it seems, as Riddle continues running his mouth behind him. Out next comes The New Day – Kofi Kingston with Xavier Woods as their entrance theme sounds in the arena. Kingston makes his way into the ring with his opponent, Randy Orton.
The referee moves to the center of the ring and signals for the bell. The bell rings and the next match up is officially underway! To start the action, Randy Orton immediately takes Kofi Kingston down to the canvas first as he applies a headlock to Kingston. At ringside, we can hear The Original Bro cheering The Viper on! Back inside the ring, they both hit the ropes and then Orton once again is able to drop Kingston with a shoulder. They run the ropes again and Kofi leaps up, colliding his hip with Orton’s face.
At this point Orton quickly rolls to the floor at ringside where he is able to re-group before they continue the match. Orton doesn’t have long though, as Kingston immediately follows behind Orton out to ringside where Orton is forced to fight him off. Orton brings it back in the ring but Kofi nails a big arm drag, and another for a 2 count. Kofi with more offense for another 2 count. Orton turns it back around with a bit of a cheap shot as some fans boo. Orton with big uppercuts in the corner now.
To follow up, Orton proceeds to take Kingston around the ring like a ragdoll as he uses the middle rope as the referee warns him. Orton stomps on Kofi’s leg and taunts him. Kofi kicks out at 2. Winner: Kofi Kingston
After the Match
Immediately following the match, Matt Riddle quickly enters the ring in an attempt to calm down his RK-Bro partner, The Viper all while Xavier Woods joins his fellow New Day tag-team partner Kofi Kingston in celebration of his victory! We see that Orton wants to make a run at Kingston, but Riddle is thinking rationally and attempts to hold Orton back. At this point, Riddle goes to say something to Kingston and Woods, all while a pissed off Orton makes his exit. As Riddle goes to follow behind Orton, apparently he felt the frustration build up inside of him as well as he then stops to turn around to Woods, pushing him out of anger causing Woods to land on the canvas. Woods jumps back up to head towards Riddle, only this time Kingston is the one with the rational mind as he holds Woods back, allowing Riddle and Orton to make their way to the back.
Backstage – WWE Officials Adam Pearce & Sonya Deville
At this point we head backstage where the WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are with Naomi, Lana, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke. As we join the argument, we hear them all giving their opinions on who deserves the next title shot.
Charlotte Flair Interrupts
Suddenly, The Queen, Charlotte Flair interrupts as she states that all the women have had “a million chances” to which Flair then states they have “blown them all”. At this point, Sonya Deville responds by saying that they will figure out who is next in line after tonight’s title match but if the women will now excuse her and Flair… Flair has a “private matter” to discuss. This leads to the others making their exits, leaving Charlotte alone with Adam and Sonya now.
To start, Charlotte states that SHE should be getting a one-on-one match for the RAW Women’s Title, NOT a Triple Threat. In response, Pearce states that while he understands that she’s disappointed about last night… he wants to know why she believes she should get a singles shot. A simple response from Charlotte, she states that she was not pinned last night!
At this point Sonya responds to Flair that if Flair can win in a match with Asuka tonight, then Flair can get her title shot. Sonya then looks to Adam, who nods in agreement stating that it’s fair.
Rhea Ripley Interrupts
Suddenly Rhea Ripley interrupts the conversation where she proceeds to taunt Charlotte. Rhea then states that she came to tell Adam and Sonya that she is ready for new competition… (as Charlotte is nothing but ‘yesterday’s news.’) Immediately Charlotte Flair snaps back at Ripley with a response that PROMISES that Flair will be the new RAW Women’s Champion when they face off. With that said, Charlotte Flair then walks off. Rhea states that she will be watching the Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair match tonight from ringside… “just in case” The Queen falls from her throne. With that, Rhea walks off as well, leaving Sonya and Adam left with a stunned look on their faces.

At this point Snuka knocks Jax off the ropes to the floor. Baszler hits Tamina but Tamina catches a knee. We see Alexa Bliss on the stage with Lilly now, laughing. Baszler applies the Kirifuda Clutch to Tamina but the ring explodes from the turnbuckles, apparently because of Bliss, and Tamina breaks the Clutch. Sheamus then continues on to state that if Ricochet doesn’t comply, he will be forced to come to the back after Ricochet and TAKE IT.
Backstage Interview – Ricochet
At this point, we see Sarah Schreiber interviewing Ricochet in the backstage area, as Sheamus stands inside the ring. (A quick clip is shown to remind us of how Ricochet attacked Sheamus and danced around in his gear after Sheamus won the non-title Open Challenge match on the WrestleMania Backlash Kickoff pre-show.) We return to the backstage are as the video comes to an end and Ricochet admits to Sarah Schreiber that he did in fact have fun last night at WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2021, but Ricochet then continues on to state that his point was to go out and smack Sheamus in the mouth, but the real fun will come when he shuts Sheamus up forever.
Sarah then follows up as she asks Ricochet about Sheamus just now accusing him of stealing the hat and jacket. Ricochet steps away for a quick moment, then returns to view with Sheamus’s gear. Next Ricochet proceeds to hoist Sheamus up onto his shoulders, which turns out to be a bad decision on Ricochet’s part as it seems to be a bit too much on him. Ricochet continues to fight at this point for a Springboard, to no avail. At this point, Sheamus is able to meet Ricochet in the air with a Pump Kick to take Ricochet down to the canvas. Sheamus quickly follows up with a pin attempt, but Ricochet is able to kick out at the two count, to continue the match… stunning everyone, and angering Sheamus who proceeds to grab Ricochet by the mouth and shout at him.
