During an interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam (RVD) discussed several topics, including his conversations with the company about a potential rematch against 17-time World Champion John Cena. This matchup was intended to be part of Cena’s retirement tour but was affected by his recent double heel fracture.
This is what RVD said, “Let me tell you this, I wanted to be one of the return matches for John Cena and his retirement tour. I was talking to them. There was a lot of interest; without giving away too many details, we were probably going to do it. Then I broke my heels.”
