WWE Rumors: Saudi Arabia Reportedly In Negotiations To Bring In Huge Megastar For WrestleMania 43

WWE is officially bringing their biggest show of the year – WrestleMania – to Saudi Arabia and it’s going to happen in 2027 for WrestleMania 43.

As reported yesterday, the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority – the group responsible for negotiating with WWE on behalf of the country – have intentions of negotiating for the appearance of several legends, even possibly pushing to bring wrestlers out of retirement to compete at the event in two years.

In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that the General Entertainment Authority is in negotiations to bring The Rock to WrestleMania and that they claimed that discussions “were advancing and they believed the deal was close to being finalized.”

The report suggested that the final financial figure WWE is going to get from Saudi Arabia will be dependent on whether The Rock participates in the main event and that understandably, if the Rock competes there, his individual pay would be multiple times more than any wrestler has ever gotten for any event in pro wrestling history.

It was also suggested that WWE is set to receive upwards of $100 million for the entire weekend of events on WrestleMania weekend and that the match the Saudis are hoping for as the main event is either The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes or The Rock vs. Roman Reigns.
