WWE Rumor Killer On ESPN Writer Getting Fired After Giving Wrestlepalooza Average Grade

As previously reported, there were some controversies surrounding ESPN writer Andreas Hale’s decision to grade WWE WrestlePalooza a “C” in his report. This rating has shocked and surprised WWE officials. Hale later defended his assessment of the event and mentioned that some fans have called for his dismissal. WrestlePalooza marks WWE’s debut premium live event on ESPN as part of their new multi-year partnership.

Sean Ross Sapp noted in the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A that both parties are denying the claims regarding Hale’s potential firing. Hale himself shared with Fightful that the idea of WWE wanting him fired is not true. Furthermore, it was reported that WWE higher-ups have also denied these claims.

Sapp added that WWE is not overly concerned about Hale’s “C” grade for WrestlePalooza. Hale explained on Off the Ropes that his “C” grade was not meant to be overly negative; rather, it reflected that while some epic moments were promised, the event ultimately fell short of expectations.
