As previously reported, the finish of the match between Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill went awry when Stratton attempted to steal a pin on Jax after Cargill had knocked her down. However, Jax did not kick out, and the referee halted the count. Stratton then executed her Prettiest Moonsault Ever finisher to secure the victory. It was also reported that the mistake occurred because the finish was changed on the fly due to Cargill being injured and requiring medical attention.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that this match is one that Stratton, Cargill, and Jax have performed in house shows, so it was something they had practiced numerous times. Meltzer noted that the finish had always involved Stratton stealing the pinfall, and he did not believe it was anyone’s fault that the finish was botched since the referee simply stopped counting.

Bryan Alvarez added that he had heard a theory about the situation, suggesting that Tiffany was supposed to break up the pin and immediately steal the pin for herself. However, because Nia kicked out and Tiffany was not in position, someone in the back may have communicated that Jax couldn’t be pinned at that moment. As a result, Jax was prompted to kick out, but she did not hear the referee relay the change in instructions.
