TNA superstar Joe Hendry has been one of the promotion’s most featured stars on WWE programming and a report last month indicated that TNA has begun prepping for his eventual exit from their company and official entrance into WWE once his contract expires.
TNA President Carlos Silva recently appeared on the Battleground Podcast and was asked about Hendry’s status and if he’s still a TNA guy. Silva was a bit cryptic in his response, stating that while Hendry is in TNA right now, he hinted that might not be the case in the future. Hendry’s contract with TNA is reportedly expiring within the year and it is expected that WWE will definitely be looking to sign him to a deal of their own.
“That’s correct. Yes, he is. You know, he is until he’s not. But he is. And Joe’s been great. Joe’s been great for us. Joe’s been great with WWE and NXT. We’ll continue to sort of work through that together as good partners do.”
