WWE NXT star Tony D’Angelo has not competed on WWE television since the July 15 episode of NXT, where he won a Triple Threat Match against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino. His most recent match was at a live event on July 25, where he defeated Anthony Luke in singles action. He did, however, make an appearance in a segment during the July 29 episode.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, D’Angelo’s absence is not due to any injuries; he is not sidelined for that reason. The report states that D’Angelo is taking time off at his own request.
