Former WWE World Champion Reportedly Signed Multi-Year Contract Extension This Year

On the heels of the news that The New Day’s Xavier Woods has re-signed a multi-year contract extension with WWE and today, news emerged that his tag team partner – Kofi Kingston – already did the same earlier this year.

Sean Ross Sapp of fightfulselect.com reports that Kingston signed his new deal with WWE at some point in 2025 and the backstage belief is that it is a five-year agreement which would effectively keep him in the company until 2023 when he would be nearing 50.

The former WWE champion is a long-time veteran and part of the a sure-fire Hall of Fame tag team and is said to be among the most respected wrestlers in any pro wrestling locker room.

Each member of the New Day trio were believed to have signed matching contracts back in 2019 but with various injuries, time was likely added to the deals, making the original end dates land at different times.
