AEW taped matches for this weekend’s Collision on Wednesday evening in Jacksonville, FL and there was an apparent injury to Kota Ibushi during the show in a match against Josh Alexander.
According to fan reports, Ibushi fell off the top rope to the outside after suffering what looked to be a leg injury. He couldn’t make into the ring as a result and was counted out. Medical personnel then came out and assisted Ibushi before he was carried away on a stretcher and to an ambulance. AEW President Tony Khan made an appearance in the ring, thanking the fans and pointing out how dangerous wrestling can be, confirming the injury.
PWInsider.com later reported that the belief backstage is that Ibushi may have suffered a broken femur which led to him falling from the top rope.
