WWE Rumors: Latest Plans For Upcoming Men’s WarGames At Survivor Series

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Men’s WarGames Match was initially set to feature CM Punk, Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight as the babyface team.

They would face a heel team consisting of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory. Meltzer mentioned that if Fatu is unavailable for the event, either Knight or Jimmy might take his place.

Meltzer also pointed out that with Rollins currently sidelined due to an injury, Logan Paul has been discussed as a potential replacement.

The upcoming shows are expected to clarify the storyline direction for both Lesnar and Theory, as their roles may change as creative plans develop. He anticipates “big angles” during the WWE RAW episode scheduled to take place at Madison Square Garden on Monday, November 17th.

Regarding the women’s side, Meltzer indicated that the initial plans included AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss facing Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.

However, Ripley’s participation is uncertain as she is recovering from a broken nose, and there has been no indication regarding this match lineup beyond the Flair and Bliss vs. Asuka and Sane match scheduled for RAW this Monday in Boston.

Additionally, there are reports that Survivor Series might feature an Intercontinental Championship match between Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio. Meltzer noted that the initial plans included John Cena instead of Rey, with Cena winning the title.

However, Dominik’s match with Rey could lead to a future match involving Cena in San Diego. Meltzer believes that Cena may appear at Survivor Series, given that he has four appearances left on his current schedule, and he is likely to appear on the next two episodes of RAW to build up to his final match on December 13th.

WWE Survivor Series is scheduled for Saturday, November 29th, at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
