As John Cena’s in-ring career winds down with only a few dates left on his schedule, rumors are circulating on what his last few matches will look like.
We already know that Cena is going to be facing the winner of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament with most people believing that it will be Gunther who being his opponent and there have also been reports that he’s being planned for an Intercontinental Title match against Dominik Mysterio.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on WWE holding back on revealing the brackets of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament as a way to drum up interest in the tourney while also feeding off of fan interest and speculation that a non-WWE wrestler could potentially end up in the competition.
Meanwhile wrestling reporter Ibou posted on X that Cena is booked to be included in the upcoming Survivor Series WarGames match with Cory Hays of bodyslam.net commenting that it’s been a plan that has been discussed for weeks.
While not stated, the current plan has CM Punk teaming up with Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and Jey Uso with one spot left as a mystery and it’s possible that person could end up being Cena.
