An up-and-coming superstar on WWE’s black-and-gold brand, NXT, took a hell of chance in calling out the company for producing what he felt in his soul was a racist product, prompting WWE to issue a formal statement on the matter after buzz circulated on social media.
NXT wrestler Jordan Myles called attention to a t-shirt that WWE designed a few weeks ago and briefly put on sale, alluding to racial implications with the design of the shirt and tagging both Vince McMahon and HHH in his tweets.
Myles indicated that he was aware that the t-shirt existed but that his “soul wasn’t able to rest properly.”

WWE offered up the following statement to media, suggesting that Myles was consulted in the design of the t-shirt and that once they realized he didn’t like the end product, they moved quickly to remove the product.
WWE also indicated that there were no sales of the t-shirt.
“Albert Hardie Jr. (aka Jordan Myles) approved this t-shirt for sale. As always, we work collaboratively with all of our performers to develop logos and merchandise designs and get their input and approval before proceeding. This was the same process with Albert, and we responded swiftly once he later requested that the logo/t-shirt be redesigned. No t-shirts were sold.”
