It looks like Shane McMahon won’t be performing in front of the WWE Universe on television or pay-per-view any time in the near future.
After his match and subsequent loss to Kevin Owens on Friday Night Smackdown, Shane McMahon is not expected back on WWE TV, reports Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com.
The match was obviously intended as a way to write him off of story lines as WWE continues to transition towards a structure where there are no or minimal on-screen authority figures.
As it pertains to Shane’s status with the company, that part is unclear as he is not an executive team member like Vince or Stephanie and has previously stepped away completely from WWE operations.
