— Daniel Bryan is expected to sign his new WWE contract imminently, perhaps putting pen to paper by the end of this week. Bryan has already noted that he is almost surely going to re-sign with WWE and only small details are being finalized between his and the company’s representatives. Bryan also pointed out that in the past, he has simply gone in and signed the contract presented to him whereas this time he is having his attorney closely look over the details before he signs.

— WWE’s plans for AJ Styles and Samoa Joe is for them to prolong that storyline at least through the next PPV which is why their SummerSlam match ended without a clean winner. Dave Meltzer suggests that WWE wants Styles to have a lengthy title reign, perhaps culminating in a match against Daniel Bryan later this year or next year.
