— Yesterday, an account of the backstage fight after AEW All Out was reported with sources close to CM Punk giving his version of events that played out. Sean Ross Sapp of fightfulselect.com has a second version this time from the side of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
— According to them, after hearing Punk’s press conference following the PPV, the Young Bucks went to talk to him as he’d indicated people should do if they had a problem. The state that they simply opened the door – not kicked it in as claimed by Punk’s side – but before anything could be said, Punk “went off” and started throwing sucker punches at Matt Jackson’s head. Nick Jackson then went in to intervene which is when Ace Steel threw a chair that hit Nick in the face.
— Kenny Omega’s involvement was said to be limited with his entrance into the fray simply to remove Larry (CM Punk’s dog) from the situation as he was “barking and going nuts.” Once Omega was able to hand Larry off to an unnamed person, he then attempted to get Ace Steel off of Nick. At that point, Steel pulled Omega’s hair and bit him. The report goes on to say that when people heard that Omega “got bit”, they assumed it was Larry the dog and only later was it revealed to be Steel that did the biting. Once the two sides were separated by other people and security, both sides continued to shout and argue with Punk apparently threatening legal action against the Bucks and Omega.
