Booker T Blasts CM Punk For Talking About Colt Cabana’s Mother

Bringing someone’s mother into any fight is generally considered off-limits, a rule most men understand. This was the point emphasized by Booker T during the latest episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, where he discussed CM Punk’s mention of Colt Cabana’s mom during the infamous AEW ALL OUT 2022 media scrum.

Here are some of the key highlights from the episode, where Booker T shared his thoughts on this particular aspect:

On CM Punk bringing up Colt Cabana’s mom during the All Out 2022 press conference: “I would almost be willing to say that Punk has met [Cabana’s mother]. They may have had a friendly history. Perhaps they’ve shared moments, had conversations, or even visited each other’s homes. So, for Punk to have an issue with Cabana and specifically bring up his mom by name, it’s just not right. It’s a breach of etiquette. It was a low blow. Punk is a wealthy individual with significant success in the industry, while Cabana might not have had the same level of success or financial security. Cabana may have been living with his mom at some point. He hasn’t enjoyed the same opportunities and success that Punk has had in the business. So, to demean him and throw it in his face was just classless. People can say what they want, but you won’t catch me talking about someone’s mother, especially if I’ve met them.”

On the reported issues between William Regal and CM Punk: “William Regal, these days, is not the same person he was during his early days in WCW and WWE. He’s been through his fair share of ups and downs, losing his position in WWE and then finding a place elsewhere. I don’t believe William Regal went to AEW with any intention other than to assist them with his knowledge of the business. I don’t think he was there to disrupt Punk’s plans or anything of the sort. The question here is whether WWE thinks about this when many individuals transition from WWE to other promotions. That’s the key issue. That’s why I was one of the few who successfully made the transition from WCW, because I understood how to navigate the system and strategically make my way to the top without compromising my integrity.”
