After running down the lineup for next Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite show during this week’s broadcast on TNT, a big main event was added to the card for next week.
Following his return as the masked wrestler Serpentico during the main event of AEW Dynamite this week, helping Chris Jericho & Jake Hager pick up a victory over Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy in the process, “The Spanish God” of the Inner Circle — Sammy Guevara — reemerged.
Guevara had been on the sidelines after he was lumped in with the “#SpeakingOut” movement when an old interview he gave resurfaced on social media that featured him making off-color comments about Sasha Banks.
After unmasking to reveal that he was not, in fact, AEW wrestler Serpentico, Guevara joined The Inner Circle’s Jericho, Hager, Santana and Ortiz in delivering a post-match beat down to Jurassic Express members Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt.
This led to the announced main event for next week’s show, which will see the aforementioned five members of the Inner Circle taking on the team of Orange Cassidy, The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent), Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy.
With that now known, featured below is an updated look at the lineup on tap for the Wednesday, July 29, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite.
