Punk Steel Young Bucks Omega

Ace Steel Unlikely to be Back With AEW After Hitting Nick Jackson With a Chair Backstage

— The big story over the last couple of days is the backstage fight that occurred following AEW’s All Out PPV and media scrum, where CM Punk made shoot comments directed at multiple people while flat out stating that EVPs Matt and Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega spread lies about him. This led to a confrontation and a subsequent altercation that turned physical.

— Fightfulselect.com reports that Ace Steel interjected himself into the melee and “shoot cracked Nick Jackson with a chair”, causing a black eye at the least. Not related to the fightful report, but sources have mentioned to us that Jackson may have been temporarily knocked out. It is believed that after that act of violence, Steel is expected to be fired from AEW as there was an “incredible amount of heat” on Steel with many not understanding what could prompt someone to hit another person with a chair.

— On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez said there is no denying the facts that Punk punched Matt Jackson and Steel hit Nick Jackson with a chair and bit Omega and pulled his hair, however, it is unclear who actually started the fight. It is believed that Punk actually threw the first punch after the Bucks and Omega confronted him in his locker room so opinions are split as to who is to blame for actually escalating the matter in the first place.

— None of the men involved are making any public comments due to the ongoing legal investigation as police were involved and it’s also unclear how AEW CEO Tony Khan is going to handle this matter, though Meltzer speculated that if Khan indeed terminates Steel, it is likely that Punk will want to walk given that Steel is his close friend and original trainer.
