Ahead of his title defense against Matt Riddle on the inaugural full two-hour edition of NXT On USA this week, NXT World Champion Adam Cole spoke with Brian Fritz of Between The Ropes regarding his all-time high excitement level about being part of the black-and-gold brand in WWE.
“Specifically with this move [to USA Network], I’ve never wanted to stay involved with NXT more in my life,” Cole told Fritz during a one-on-one interview at the WWE Performance Center on Wednesday prior to NXT On USA. “Again, I’ve been a part of the growth of NXT before we got on television, but now that we’re on television, oh man, even more so do I want to stay here and be a part of this brand.”
Cole added, “Again, I’m really proud of the matches we put on, I’m really proud of this crew, so I want to be involved and stay here as champion for as long as I can.”
