t’s WEDNESDAY!!! That means AEW is in Cardiff for the big go home show of AEW Dynamite. Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone have the call BUT Schiavone is in the ring.

We have a TBS Contract signing to kick us off as Dr. Britt Baker DMD and MErcedes Mone come out. Kamille is with Mone’. Cardiff is definitely behind the challenger. Mone’ vows to tap Baker out. So far, so good. No fisticuffs fly as they sign the contract. Gotta say, Merdedes cut a hell of a promo on Baker, talking about how wrestling is her whole life. Baker gives it right back to her on the mic. Baker weakly hits Kamille with the mic and she and Mone’ bail, God how I wish that shot was better.

Rene’ Paquette is with the Learning Tree. Jericho makes fun of Tommy Billington.

Chris Jericho vs. Tommy Billington

Lockup, armdrags by Billington. Arm twist by Jericho, Billington escapes and applies a side headlock. Shoulder blocks, Jericho goes down. Body Slam by Billington. Dropkick by Billington. Action spills to the floor. Jericho gets slammed into the rail but LArge William sends Billington into the post as we go to the commercial.

Billington fights back with punches but an uppercut by Jericho sends Billington down. Slap by Bryan Keith. Belly to back by Jericho and he poses to the crowd. Slaps by Jericho. Billington fights back. Cross body collision, both men are down. Lariat by Billington into a clothesline. Billington misses a clothesline and Jericho connects with a lionsault. Chops by Jericho. German by Billington for 2. Double leg and Jericho applies the Walls. Billington makes the ropes. Kick by Billington. Tombstone by Billington. Billington with a cross body to Keith. Codebreaker by Jericho for the pin.

WINNER CHRIS JERICHO

Jericho with the mic, he mocks Hook. On cue, here comes the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil. They go nose to nose. Big Bill attacks and nails a choke slam.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm vs. Saraya

The winner here meets MAriah May at Wembley. Arm drag by Storm, followed by another. Headlock takeover by Storm into a rollup for 2. Kick by Saraya. Rollups by Storm. The 2 women scream at each other. Harley Cameron, who is with Saraya, provides the distraction as we go to commercial.

Back in the ring and live action, Saraya with kicks to the head. Now they trade forearms. Headbutt by Storm. Forearms by Saraya. Storm fires back. DDT by the champion. Fisherwoman for 2 by Storm. Nightcap for 2 by Saraya. Powerbomb by Saraya into a DDT for 2. Sit out powerbomb by Storm for 2. Storm kisses Harley. Saraya and Harley collide. Storm Zero and Storm scores the pin.

WINNER AND STILL AEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION TONI STORM

Mariah May attacks her with Storm’s shoe. May with a kiss and she micks the champion.

Rene’ is with the Conglomeration. I did not realize Willow Nightingale was in the group. They’re ready for whatever happens.

Time for America’s Hero MJF and Will Ospreay to go face to face. MJF looks as patriotic as ever. Ospreay tries to quiet the madness that is the crowd. Ospreay talks about the crowds in Wales when he was younger. He makes a lot of British references that I don’t understand. MJF takes over, the crowd is relentless. He mocks the ratings Ospreay pulls in. I’m not commenting on this, just taking it in. This may be going on too long. Ospreay asks Schiavone what the fine is if he attacks MJF. He attacks MJF and security rushes in. MJF gets the edge and nails a brainbuster. Security finally breaks it up.

Rene’ Paquette tells us that Hangman PAge must leave the building. He will be in the Casino Gauntlett. He runs into Evil Uno. Page beats Uno with a chair.

AEW Continental Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Lockup, relatively clean break. Lockup, another clean break. Okada misses the rainmaker and both men have a stalemate. Kick by Okada, now they trade kicks. Back elbow by the Rainmaker as we go to commercial.

We are back and it’s Claudio with a suplex. Running uppercuts by Claudio. Okada with a clothesline. Claudio with a back elbow for 1. Running dive by Okada for 2. Uppercut by Claudio, both men tumble to the floor as we go back to commercial.

As we return, Claudio scores a 2 off an uppercut. Claudio goes to work in the corner. Okada slumps. Okada blocks the Gotch piledriver. Gut wrench by Claudio. Dropkick by Okada. Bodyslam by Okada. Uppercut by Claudio. Shotgun dropkick by Okada. Slam by Okada. Elbow off the top by Okada. Big Swing by Claudio.

Dropkick by Okada. Neckbreaker by Okada. We have to be almost to the time limit. They trade forearms. Uppercut by Claudio, Okada rolls to the floor. Kick by Claudio and the bell rings.

TIME LIMIT DRAW: OKADA RETAINS THE CONTINENTAL TITLE

The Elite come out and ask Cardiff if they want 5 more minutes. That won’t happen. Darby Allin comes out to help Claudio

Darby Allin & FTR vs. The Young Bucks & Jack Perry

Okada and Claudio fight to the back. Perry and Dax kick us off. Chops by Perry, Perry fores back. Allin tags in and takes out Nicholas Jackson. All 6 men brawl it out. The Bucks send FTR to the floor but Allin hits them with a coffin drop.Electric chair into a side kick by the Bucks as we go to commercial.

As we return it’s Perry with a buckle bomb to Allin. Allin gets the tag to Dax and he pounds away at Perry in the corner. 2 Germans by Dax into a brainbuster for 2. Cash tags in and nails a belly to back to Perry. Backslide by Perry for 2. The Bucks are in there now and they miss the EVP trigger. All 6 now battle it out. Triple sharpshooters by FTR and Darby. The Elite threaten to walk off and they get nailed by dives. All 6 men battle it out again. FTR nails the shatter machine on Perry. PowerPlex by FTR and then a coffin drop and Allin scores the pin.

WINNERS: FTR & DARBY ALLIN

The Acclaimed come out to declare that they will be the new AEW World Tag Team Champions Sunday.

Backstage Bryan Danielson simply tells Will Ospreay to DO IT.

Nigel McGuinness is here to moderate the face to face between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson. No new ground is broken here as both men say they’ll win on Sunday. Danielson is as impassioned as ever. Swerve is clearly playing the bad guy in this. Nigel is clearly playing favorites here with Swerve. Cardiff clearly wants Danielson to take it on Sunday. We get a Yes chant as we go off the air.
