— It appears that at least one championship change is on the horizon for next Tuesday night.
As previously reported, AEW has already scheduled the third encounter between Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix, members of The Lucha Bros, for the AEW International Championship during next Tuesday’s Dynamite episode.
This special edition of AEW Dynamite, known as “Title Tuesday,” is set to go head-to-head against a stacked episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network. The upcoming match between Fenix, the current titleholder, and Moxley, the former champion, will mark the third time they have faced each other.
Dave Meltzer, a seasoned editor for the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealed during the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio on F4WOnline.com that AEW’s swift decision to arrange the third clash between Mox and Fenix on October 17 is due to the severity of the injury that Fenix has been dealing with. Meltzer explained that AEW’s primary objective is to remove the championship from Fenix’s possession so he can initiate his recovery process.
