NXT Closes Gap On AEW In Viewership For 3/11 Episode From WWE PC

AEW Dynamite Suffers Viewership Loss But Still Beats NXT

The Wednesday Night Wars ratings are in and as expected, Dynamite won the battle over NXT On USA once again. Unlike recent weeks, however, different this time around is the fact that WWE NXT has closed the gap on All Elite Wrestling by a considerable margin in terms of overall viewership.

The Wednesday, March 11th edition of Dynamite registered 766,000 viewers, down considerably from last week’s 906,000 viewers. On the other end of the pro wrestling / sports entertainment fence, NXT On USA saw a much more modest drop, coming in at 697,000 viewers, compared to 718,000 viewers for last week’s show.

The decreases in viewership this week represent a 15-percent and 3-percent decline, respectively.

In the coveted 18-49 year old demographic, Dynamite also took a big tumble for the 3/11 show at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, dropping to a 0.26 rating (25th overall on the night), while NXT On USA from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida again saw a much smaller decrease to a 0.21 rating (42nd overall).

Featured below are the week-by-week viewership and 18-49 demographic figures for WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite since the inception of both weekly head-to-head shows.
