AEW Looking To Avoid Direct Live Events Conflict With WWE Moving Forward

Live event conflicts betwewn WWE and AEW occurred on a few occasions last year but by the sounds of it, it won’t be happening very much in 2025 if at all.

According to TNT’s schedule that was recently released, AEW Collision will not be airing on Saturday, April 19 which would have had it go head-to-head against Night One of WWE’s WrestleMania 41. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reported that officials with both AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery are looking to adjust their schedule to have less AEW vs. WWE competition on Saturday nights in the future. Meltzer noted that another possible conflict is going to happen in May when WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event would be going against Collision as the schedule currently stands but that AEW is likely to move the show to a different day.

Meltzer speculated that his belief is that AEW will move Collision to Thursday and the move is at the requet of TBS/TNT officials who don’t want to compete against a wrestling show on NBC nor do they want to compete against premium live events that WWE airs on Saturdays, especially WrestleMania.
