There were a couple of injury updates provided yesterday, both before and during the latest episode of AEW’s Dynamite:

• Adam Cole made an appearance on Dynamite, sporting a cast and using crutches. He disclosed that he had sustained a triple fracture in his ankle along with ligament tears when he leaped off the ramp the previous week. Cole acknowledged that he would require surgery but assured fans that he would make a swift return.
• Jon Moxley, who suffered a concussion during the September 20 episode of Dynamite, had his injury status downplayed initially, with AEW President Tony Khan mentioning on Twitter that AEW medical professionals were unable to clear Moxley for participation in last night’s episode. However, Rey Fenix, who had also suffered an injury during the match against Moxley, did receive clearance and successfully defended his AEW International championship.
