AEW News: Tony Khan Provides Updates On Andrade, Chris Jericho & Britt Baker

AEW President Tony Khan recently joined Ariel Helwani’s podcast and gave a number of updates on various wrestlers. Below are some highlights:

Andrade

Due to the legal situation surrounding Andrade, Khan did not say much but surprisingly did make a comment. He indicated that when Andrade left AEW to jump back to WWE, he did it on the “best of terms” and would be very happy to work with him again – whenever he is free and able to do that. Khan was asked if Andrade perhaps misinterpreted or misrepresented his free agency status following his most recent WWE exit that ended up having a one-year non-compete clause, Khan declined to comment.

Chris Jericho

Khan once again stated that while he doesn’t know if or when Jericho will return, the veteran wrestler is always welcome in AEW. Khan did not provide any details when asked when Jericho’s contract is expiring, though Jericho himself already went public stating that it is at the end of the year. When asked where Jericho has been, Khan mentioned working out the dates that Jericho previously negotiated to work.

Britt Baker

Khan noted that he’s had some good discussions with Britt Baker and that he is simply waiting for the right time and would love to have her back in AEW. He stated that he fully believes Baker will be returning at some point – hopefully soon – but cautioned that it has to be the best situation for all parties involved. Baker hasn’t wrestled for AEW in well about a year.
