A top name in AEW is close to returning from injury.
According to Fightful Select, former TNT Champion Adam Copeland is expected back in AEW “imminently.” The Rated-R superstar has been out of action even since suffering a fractured tibia during his showdown with Malakai Black at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view back in May. Aside from recovering, Copeland has been filming a television series in his absence.
The report notes that Copeland was actually cleared a number of weeks back, but has yet to appear back on AEW programming, with his return most likely to now take place on the January 1st episode of Dynamite, which will be the show’s first airing on the MAX streaming network. The belief is that Copeland will be teaming up with FTR, who are set to clash with the Death Riders.
Stay tuned.
