Saraya plans to return to the ring eventually, but she doesn’t feel AEW needs her at the moment.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been away from the promotion since October 2024. Currently on a media tour to promote her upcoming memoir *Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives*, which releases this Tuesday, Saraya spoke about her busy schedule on the *Lightweights Podcast*. She shared that she’s been focusing on non-wrestling endeavors.
“This year’s been super busy, which is great. I’ve been doing a lot of self-tapes for acting auditions,” Saraya said. “I’ve been doing media for the book and just a lot of things outside of wrestling. I haven’t been doing much in the wrestling world.”
While she expressed her love for wrestling and intention to return eventually, Saraya doesn’t feel there’s a need for her at this time.
“Yeah, I do want to get back in the ring eventually,” she said. “But at this point, I feel like there isn’t really a spot for me. Everyone’s got their own thing going. I love wrestling, and I’ll be back at some point, but right now, it’s good. They don’t need me. They don’t need me [smiles].”
