As noted, there has been a lot of rumors and speculation regarding the injury status of WWE Champion A.J. Styles heading into WrestleMania 34.
“The Phenomenal One” was pulled from multiple WWE live events over the weekend and his in-ring status has been a question mark ever since. This week, the WWE Champion took part in a media conference call to answer some of the questions looming about his status.
Styles was evaluated by WWE physicians backstage at RAW on Monday and while the results are not yet known, Styles taking part in the media call today is considered a good sign.
When asked about the status of his “Dream Match” with the WWE Championship on-the-line against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 next month, Styles replied, “If my leg got cut off I’d find a way to make it to WrestleMania. I will be wrestling Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania, don’t worry about it, it’ll be fine.”
Styles is scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. Make sure to join us here later this evening for live play-by-play results coverage of the show.
