AJ Styles captured his first WWE World Championship by defeating former champion Dean Ambrose at the WWE Backlash PPV on Sunday night in Richmond, Virginia.,
Styles beat Ambrose after hitting him with a low blow and his “Styles Clash” finishing move for the 1-2-3. With the win, Styles walked out of the first “blue brand exclusive PPV” in Richmond, VA. on Sunday night as the first ever victorious PPV headliner.
