A.J. Styles Talks Ronda Rousey In WWE

A.J. Styles Says Ronda Rousey Could Transition To WWE As Well As Kurt Angle

A.J. Styles is the latest WWE Superstar to speak with the folks at TMZ about what to expect from former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey in the land of WWE.

As Styles explained in a recent interview with the popular celebrity gossip website, Rousey could very well take to WWE as well as other past legitimate athletes, such as Kurt Angle did.

“Let me tell you about someone who came in [to WWE] kind of like Ronda did, and learned like that,” said Styles while snapping his fingers. “Kurt Angle.”

Styles continued, explaining how the Olympic gold medalist quickly transitioned from a lifetime of amateur wrestling and immediately rose to the top of the sports entertainment world in WWE during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

“Now, he was an Olympic champion but he still didn’t have the name recognition that Ronda has,” Styles said. “Ronda, though, she’s an athlete, man. She can adapt. That’s what she does. She’ll learn quick. She’ll be a sponge and she’ll be up there with the Kurt Angle’s and everybody else that’s went on to the Hall Of Fame.”

“The Phenomenal One” also spoke about who he thinks Ronda Rousey may face in her first high-profile showdown at WrestleMania 34.

“If she’s ready, let’s get her in the ring, man,” said Styles. “Personally, you put her up against Charlotte Flair [and] she’s going to have an unbelievable match.”

Styles continued, “You put [her] in there with Asuka, you’re going to have an unbelievable match. Becky Lynch. Sasha Banks. I mean we got tons of people, ladies, that you can throw her in there [with]. The women’s revolution, are you kidding me? Throw her in there with anybody.”
