WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Mansoor vs. Ali

Ali Wishes Circumstances Were Different For First Muslim Singles Match On WWE PPV At Crown Jewel

WWE will make history this week in Saudi Arabia.

As noted, Mansoor vs. Ali is scheduled to take place at the WWE Crown Jewel show on Thursday, marking the first time ever that two Muslims will have a singles match on a WWE special event.

The match was not mentioned in the rundown of the lineup at the end of the supersized edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on FS1 last week, which prompted Ali to hop on Twitter and comment on it being excluded from the promotional segment on one of the last shows leading up to the event.

Since then, Ali has taken to social media once again, sharing a more positive statement ahead of the history-making showdown between himself and Mansoor at the event scheduled for this Thursday.

Ali wrote the following via his official Twitter feed about the first-ever Muslim singles match on a WWE pay-per-view taking place later this week:

“Though I wish some of the circumstances were different, I’m still thankful that for the first time ever two muslims will have a singles match on a WWE pay-per-view. I’m thankful that for one night, Mansoor and I get to be what we wanted to see growing up.”
