Alicia Fox Opens Up About Alcoholism & Depression In New Instagram Statement (11/21/2019)

After achieving a few months of sobriety, Alicia Fox took to social media on Wednesday to comment on fighting her battle with alcoholism, leading many to continue speculating about her actual status with WWE.

On her official Instagram page, the longtime WWE Superstar and on-again, off-again Total Divas cast member issued a statement detailing her ongoing issues with maintaining sobriety.

She also extended an offer to help anyone who may also be battling this condition, inviting them to snail-mail her.

While Fox remains under contract to WWE, the company has moved her to the "Alumni" section of their website for the last several months, putting her in-ring future into question.

Earlier this year, there were also reports that former WWE road agent Arn Anderson allowed her to wrestle while intoxicated, which ultimately got led to his release from the company and also led to Fox being pulled from live events, though she returned to wrestle at least once more in April.

"For a WHILE I thought I could avoid addressing my recovery of alcohol," Fox wrote via her Instagram page this week. "I am human, and realized it was time to be transparent and honest with you social media now written on '#CyberConcrete' TODAY, I'm a few months sober, I’ve creatively navigated my emotions, snagged some new skills AND I WANT TO HELP!!!"

Fox continued, "I've learned that alcoholism is life threatening situation and support is available!! I figured I can share my insight and BE of SERVICE to anyone finding it hard to believe that ‘YOU ARE IMPORTANT’ and deserve an opportunity to learn how to live a clean and sober life... it would be an honor to share my hope, strength, and experience. She concluded her statement by writing, "Ok! Thanks for allowing me get that off my chest!! #rambrand #resilienceamongmankind V. III. x."
