ALL OUT: Hangman Page vs. Chris Jericho Set For First AEW World Title Match At 8/31 PPV

As we reported on Friday, the first-ever All Elite Wrestling World Championship match has been announced.

Chris Jericho revealed the news during his appearance on Busted Open Radio that his match against Hangman Page will take place at the upcoming AEW: ALL OUT pay-per-view.

The match was confirmed when Jericho defeated Kenny Omega and Page won the Casino Battle Royale at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.

After the news made the rounds online, the match was made official when AEW released the official poster for Hangman Page vs. Chris Jericho at ALL OUT on their official Twitter page.

Shortly after that, Jericho took to social media to comment on the announcement.

“It’s official…. #JerichoVsHangman for the #AEW World Championship in the main event of #AEWAllOut,” wrote Jericho via his official Instagram page. “It’s going to be one of the biggest matches of my career, against one of the hardest hitting, most talented athletes I’ve seen in years.”

Jericho concluded, “But get ready @hangmanadampage… school is about to be in session. @allelitewrestling.”
