Andrade El Idolo Returning To CMLL; AEW Contract Expiring Next Year, Rumors Of WWE Return

  • AEW star Andrade El Idolo is set to make a return to CMLL after an eight-year hiatus. In a video aired during CMLL’s show on Friday, Andrade announced his comeback, stating that he is “coming home” next Friday, December 15. He will team up with Soberano Jr. and Angel De Oro in a trios match against Mistico, Atlantis Jr., and Star Jr.
  • Despite his return to CMLL, Andrade remains under contract with AEW, where he is currently participating in the Continental Classic tournament scheduled through December. In his upcoming match, he is set to face Bryan Danielson, with the results airing last night. His AEW contract is believed to extend until the spring of 2024, sparking rumors that he might be considering a return to WWE at that time. Dave Meltzer has speculated that Andrade’s desire to return to CMLL before his AEW contract expires is fueled by the fact that WWE, unlike AEW, would not permit him to wrestle for other promotions.
