Good news for AEW fans.
According to Fightful Select, former AEW world champion Kenny Omega is set to return soon. The Cleaner has been out of action for nearly a year aside from a couple of television appearances, and his absence has been widely talked about by fans ever since. AEW did air a promo teasing his return for NJPW Wrestle Dynasty, where he’ll be clashing with NJPW star Gabriel Kidd. The report notes that this was done with Tony Khan’s blessing, and was considered a good gesture considering AEW’s healthy relationship with NJPW.
As for Omega in AEW, Fightful states that there was some discussion for him to potentially come back at Full Gear, but that obviously didn’t happen. There have been discussions of him possibly coming back at the December 28th Worlds End pay-per-view.
