A former AEW Women’s World Champion not only looks to be done with the company but might be headed to WWE if recent new reports prove accurate.

Last month, it was reported that Mariah May’s contract with AEW is set to expire this summer though it wasn’t clear if AEW had an option year available to them. Now both Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline.com are reporting that May is likely headed to WWE when her deal is up. The report adds that within WWE, people know “she wants to go there.” Alvarez added that even within AEW, the expectation is that she is WWE-bound and that her contract with AEW was for two years. She made her debut for AEW back in the fall of 2023.
