An update on Asuka.
The former multi-time WWE women’s champion has been sidelined since May due to an injury that required surgery. However, it appears that she is on the mend. According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, there have been internal discussions in WWE around potential creative plans for Asuka’s return. One of the ideas pitched involved a possible tag team match, though it was ultimately rejected.
At this point, there’s still no confirmation on when Asuka will make her comeback. The report notes that she has not been spotted at the WWE Performance Center at all, nor is there any indication that she will be a competitor in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble matchup.
