Backstage AEW News On Recent Scary Incident With Hangman Page At WrestleDream PPV

At Saturday night’s AEW WrestleDream 2025 pay-per-view, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page successfully defended his title against Samoa Joe. During the match, there was a scary moment when Joe delivered a German suplex that caused Page to land on his head. Page appeared to recover slowly and later missed a planned moonsault spot.

Despite the mishap, Page managed to retain his championship after hitting a series of Buckshot Lariats to pin Joe. Following the match, The Opps attacked Page, with Joe ultimately striking him in the face with the AEW World Title belt.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Page is doing okay and told people backstage that he was “totally fine.” Page’s current reign as AEW World Champion stands at 99 days, having captured the title from Jon Moxley at All In: Texas.
