Backstage AEW News Update On Status Of Kamille & Her Recent Absence

AEW star Kamille has not appeared on AEW programming since she was attacked backstage during a November 2024 episode of Rampage, following her departure as TBS Champion Mercedes Moné’s bodyguard.

According to Fightful Select, Kamille is expected to be away from the company for an extended period due to her commitment to filming an upcoming television project for the rest of the summer. The report also noted that many AEW talents are unaware of the reasons behind her absence, and it is believed that Tony Khan felt her alliance with Moné was not effective. Sources have indicated that Moné was open to working with Kamille and discussed having a match with her in December, but this match ultimately did not take place.

Kamille still has a significant amount of time left on her AEW contract and continues to participate in signings, but she hasn’t wrestled since a battle royale in February at ICW’s 13th Annual Square Go!.

There is currently no information regarding whether Kamille had a meeting with Khan, similar to the one Wardlow had. Wardlow is also filming a project and has spoken with Khan, with both parties agreeing that it wouldn’t make sense for him to return for a short period only to take time off again to film.
