Apollo Crews qualifying and then not being able to compete in the Money in the Bank match, thus giving away to a returning AJ Styles, was always planned, and it could even lead to the formation of a new faction in WWE.
Despite the situation being presented as a shoot injury that resulted in WWE being forced to find a replacement, for whatever reason, WWE went this route, according to a report in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com.
One of the ideas for Crews is that he will turn heel in the coming weeks, joining a stable led by MVP that would also consist of Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne.
This is reportedly “one of several options” for Crews, but not necessarily the “end direction.”
