The first episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown of 2020 was a newsworthy show, as several notable WWE Superstar returns kicked off the New Year for the blue brand.
The Usos returned to WWE TV last night on Friday Night Smackdown, rushing to the aid of Roman Reigns after he was being attacked by King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.
The Usos haven’t been on TV in months, last seen at the end of July, which was right about the time that Jimmy was busted for a DUI charge that he has since been cleared from.
John Morrison, gone since 2011, also made his return to WWE TV, after the company officially announced his signing last month.
He appeared during a backstage segment when Cathy Kelley went looking for The Miz, only to have the door to his dressing room answered by Morrison.
The Miz and Morrison formed a tag team and even won the titles back in the 2007-2009 time frame.
Finally, former WWE champion Sheamus made his return to WWE as well last night.
After several multiple video promos hyped his return, he appeared to be back to aid Shorty G. on the show (after an attack by The Revival), but ended up turning on him.
Sheamus had been out of action since shortly after WrestleMania due to a concussion and also recovery from a spinal condition that greatly threatened his career.
