Los Lotharios (Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo) has not had a solid run or push so far in their WWE career despite being under contract to the company for a number of years and even competing on NXT as well as on the main roster. Los Lotharios were once again moved to NXT this summer in hopes of making them a top tag team in the company’s tag division and Angel and Humberto even made it perfectly clear that they were focused on climbing to the top of the NXT tag team division.
There has however been a lot of tension between Garza and Carrillo over the past several weeks, which has led to a vignette being aired this past Tuesday night on NXT that included encouraging words from their grandfather, the legendary Humberto Garza Sr., who passed away in October of 2022. According to F4WOnline.com, even though Garza and Carrillo are currently working NXT, there is a long-term plan to have them compete on the main roster as a top babyface tag team. It was also noted on the report that the vignette was done to establish Garza and Carrillo as authentic Mexican babyfaces.
