— Vince McMahon pretty much bulldozed his way back into WWE earlier this year, leading to a significant shakeup on the company’s Board of Directors where he is now the Executive Chairman. When this happened, many believed it would only be a matter of time before McMahon forced his way onto the creative team as well and WWE was aware of this perception and did its best to reassure talent and fans that nothing was going to change on that front and that Vince’s return was simply to facilitate the sale of the company.

— Fightful.com’s Sean Ross Sapp reported earlier this week that an unnamed wrestler reached out to him to say that he believed Vince was back on creative, however, sources then reached out to him after his tweet and stated that Vince is in fact, not back on creative and that his report on it was false. Wade Keller of pwtorch.com then reported that he was told “flat out” that Vince isn’t back on the team guiding storylines.

— It should be noted though that Paul Levesque, who currently heads up that team, has already gone on record to say that he continues to have full control of creative but that he would be open to discussing ideas and plans with Vince while always welcoming his suggestions.
