– While Cody Rhodes’ name is naturally one that has come up as a potential candidate, the WrestleVotes account notes that that is not the plan at all. Rhodes is “wrapped into the Roman (Reigns) storyline” and his story arc will focus on him being the guy to eventually dethrone the champ. By giving him the new title, the report notes that it won’t do anything for him or for the championship.
– According to the account, the strongest and perhaps leading candidate to become the new World champion is none other than Seth Rollins.
