— WWE recently filed a new trademark for the name “Kalyx” and new details have emerged on who it is likely for.

— Fightfulselect.com’s Sean Ross Sapp repoted that while speculation online has focused around the trademark being a new ring name for NXT’s Sol Ruca, whose real name is Calyx, that is actually not the case and the name is for WWE referee Jessika Carr.

— Carr, who used to be a wrestler, was reportedly part of the recent Evolve tapings where she wrestled under a mask. WWE has filmed six episodes of Evolve and she was said to be on the fourth of those episodes working a tag team match. The masked Carr and her partner were reportedly already in the ring before the match without actually getting a normal entrance.

— Before transitioning into a referee role for WWE, Carr wrestled on the indies under the name Kennadi Brink as well as Jessie Kaye while making one appearance on NXT as Kennedy Lewis. When she was hired by WWE, they moved her into a full-time ref role, becoming the first female ref for WWE since the 1980s.
