During a recent edition of Fightful Select Answers, Sean Ross Sapp discussed the wrestling futures of former WWE stars Aliyah and Dakota Kai. Aliyah was released from WWE just over two years ago, while Dakota Kai was released last May.
According to Sapp, since leaving WWE, Aliyah has taken only two independent bookings, both for Destiny Wrestling in Canada. It was noted that Aliyah’s name was mentioned by one company as a potential candidate to appear as part of a stable; however, that did not materialize. The specific company has not been disclosed, but Aliyah did mention in an interview this past August that she is not finished with her wrestling career.
In contrast, Dakota Kai has primarily focused on streaming and podcasting since her WWE release. She co-hosts a podcast with WWE’s Zelina Vega called ZELVX and CHARLIE GIRL. Although Kai has not wrestled since her release from WWE, she has been preparing for her next move. Sapp shared that Fightful has been informed not to be surprised if Kai ends up taking future bookings in Japan. Additionally, it has been reported that she recently had new wrestling gear made, indicating her intention to continue wrestling at some point.
