Backstage News On WWE Changing Theme Music For Top NXT Star

WWE NXT star “The Juggernaut” Jordynne Grace received a new theme song during last Tuesday night’s show, and the fans at the WWE Performance Center did not react positively. They began chanting “Fire Def Rebel” during her match against Lola Vice.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the entrance theme music Grace used in TNA Wrestling and early in her NXT career is owned by her, and she retains the rights to it. The report also indicated that Grace’s ownership of the theme music was one of the reasons for the change. While artists like Metro Boomin have offered to create themes for WWE, there has been a trend toward having artists who retain ownership of their tracks.

WWE is insistent on owning the theme music it uses. Additionally, the sirens at the beginning of Grace’s new song contributed to the decision to make a change, as Bron Breakker’s theme also features sirens and was prioritized due to his family connection with WWE Hall of Famer “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner.
