The United States Championship is about to have more significance.

Fightful Select is reporting that Triple H is on a mission to elevate the importance of the United States title, making it more of a “credible prize” on the weekly Monday Night Raw program.

Bobby Lashley’s recent victory over The Miz in his defense of the U.S. title in a steel cage match on Raw was part of Triple H’s plans to push the belt.

This week’s Raw saw the seeds planted that will result in the individual that WWE plans to establish as the “real face of Raw” after a match was made between current U.S. Champion Lashley and Seth Rollins for next Monday night’s show.

With Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship being part of the SmackDown brand, Triple H is reportedly looking to make the U.S. title as the top prize on the Raw brand.
