WWE Taping Christmas Day Edition Of Friday Night SmackDown On FOX

Backstage News On Plans For WWE To Tape Christmas Day Episode Of Friday Night SmackDown On FOX

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go … including the holiday television schedule for the WWE Universe.

According to Inside the Ropes, this year’s Christmas Day edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will not take place live, and instead be pre-taped.

Talent will not be expected to travel and work on December 25th, which will fall on a Friday later this month. In the past WWE has run shows live during the holidays (Christmas 2017), and have invited wrestler’s families to those tapings to celebrate the day WWE-style.

The report notes that there is no date set yet for when the blue-brand will tape their Christmas episode, but that it’s likely to be on December 18th immediately after that week’s SmackDown ends, if not a few days after.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as more details on this story continue to surface.
